Luis Ramos Jr is a Pet Portrait Fine Artist based in New York City. His work explores the intersection of history, memory, whimsy and emotion through expressive brushwork, careful observation and rich color handling that are beautifully reflected in each painting.
 

My first pet portrait was of my own two dogs, Simon and Mabel. I'd always admired the  artistic traditions from the past and thought how amazing it would be to create my own renaissance-inspired masterpiece. After completing the portrait, many people loved it and asked "where did you get that beautiful painting of your dogs?" Petcasso was born.

With my background in classical drawing/painting and a Bachelor's Degree from Parsons School of Design NY, "Petcasso" combines traditional techniques with modern abstraction in every painting. Consider your own pet portrait today!
